Hi,
We lost the key to the back door. I had the brainwave of snapping the isea euro cylinder. that went ok. Problem is, the door is still locked! The handles don't come down. I've tried to see into the lock mechanism but can't see what i'm meant to do, i can't see into the mechanism at all. I phoned a locksmith, and although they said i was on the right lines, using an alan key, it is tricky. ANd he wouldn't offer anymore advice.

Can someone advise wat i should do next please?

Once the barrel has been snapped and removed insert a metal hook or allen key and turn it in the same direction you would when turning the key to unlock the door.

The part that you are trying to move is towards the top side of the hole.

You are probably better to use some mole grips to hold onto the allen key to give more leverage.

If you have the black part from the centre of the old barrel then its much easier to unlock the door. Just insert a flat screw driver into it then use that to unlock the door.
