Title: window mechanism
Post by: richardwh on 5 November 2012 03:39 PM
I'm doing some maintenance to my double glazing at home.  I rekon is about 20-25 years old.

I cant work out what's going off here.  The window shuts but does not seal in the bottom corner.  Everything appears ok and the mechanism does not feel stuff.

I've posted some pics......

Is your window sealing in the top corner?

Yes it is.

The wedge on the side of the window is probably preventing the window closing fully. I'd try removing the wedge, adjusting the mushroom cams using an allen key to pull the window tighter. If this doesn't work then check if the mushrooms are traveling fully into the keeps, if they're not then move the keeps accordingly.
